Rule #20. When walking into an incoming pedestrian, shift right to avoid impact.

This rule stipulates that to avoid impact with any incoming pedestrians, shift rightwards. This rule must be followed at all times to prevent collision between pedestrians. Note that the more dominant of the two pedestrians have right of way.

Side clause #1. If the incoming pedestrian has shifted left instead and you are at a deadlock, stop and do not move until the fellow pedestrian has made up his/her mind.

Side clause #2. If the pedestrian does not make up his/her mind within 30 seconds, you may shift to the right and continue walking to avoid further awkwardness.
